Revisions to ISO 14001 have now moved into the final stages after 92% of member bodies of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) approved the draft. The final standard is due out in May 2015. Download a copy of the draft here.
EMS practitioners – the new standard’s getting closer! Public consultation on the Draft International Standard (ISO 14001 DIS) between July and October 2014 has now been completed. As a member of the IEMA I was lucky enough to be able to see both Committee Drafts and comment on the standards before they became public. Get ready to replace OHSAS 18001 and AS/NZS 4801 – here comes the first ISO management systems standard for safety.
